A Morning Engagement Session at Cobb's Hill Reservoir | Rochester, NY
LOCATION: COBB’S HILL IN ROCHESTER, NY
When Aimee and I planned their engagement session, we decided on a semi-early start—10 am. However, I thought 9 am might be better to beat the usual busyness that can come with such a popular location….um facepalm. Cue the regret! What I didn’t expect was the influx of runners who just so happened to be doing laps around the reservoir at approximately 8:30 am.
And these runners seriously just kept coming in waves! We made the most out of it though! We paused between joggers, got in a few laughs, and all relaxed into the session knowing this was a bit out of the ordinary. And those first 30 minutes or so, though a bit unpredictable, made for some fun candid shots that really highlighted their connection. <3
Once the runners cleared out, the space really opened up for us and we were able to move around a lot more. We took our time using the beautiful architecture and the natural surroundings to create images that feel both timeless and intimate.
Cobb's Hill is a great choice for couples who love the mix of nature and cityscape, and despite the unexpected company that morning (beware of the runners!), the session turned out beautifully.
