Sunken Garden Mini Senior-Session
LOCATION: Sunken Garden in Rochester, NY
Abby’s senior session at the Sunken Garden in Rochester, NY, was magical! Her mom’s friends recommended the location, and it’s easy to see why. The garden, tucked away like a hidden gem, provided the perfect blend of elegance and charm. With its lush greenery, stone walls, and beautifully designed steps and path, it was the definition of idyllic.
They opted for a mini session since Abby is very low-key but I ended up sending over 15 images anyways. I just couldn’t resist—everything was so perfect.
The sunlight streamed through the trees in all the right places, creating natural spotlights that illuminated Abby beautifully. Each corner of the Sunken Garden offered something special—whether it was the vibrant greenery, the intricate stone benches, or the peaceful atmosphere. Abby’s natural grace shone through in each shot - although we did have a couple moments where she tripped and I almost walked right off the ledge lol - the stunning backdrop elevated the entire session. It was the perfect place to capture a significant moment in life.
As a cellist, she and her mom wanted to include this important aspect of her life while still maintaining an artsy, creative feel. I think the Sunken Garden truly did just that.
I will definitely be back.
